I'm fine, dammit

Me: I'm fine.
CPG: Liar.
Me: We've had this conversation.
CPG: Then tell me the truth and we can stop having it.
Me: I told you, it's nothing I can discuss with you.

I mean, that's pretty much it. It was a major theme of Grey's Anatomy last week. The person who broke your heart can't help you get over it.

And I am. Fine. I'm fine. Really. I am. I need to stop spending money but it beats eating ice cream as a coping mechanism I suppose. Okay, probably not 'cause it would be a lot better if I saved money than spent it and at least ice cream is cheap but whatever.

Ok, as peculiar as it may seem, I actually saw that show. And yeah, the person who broke it cannot buy it or fix it.

I agree with your mutual statement, but I didn't get that message from that show. Weird how things strike people differently, huh?

I came across a gravatar last week that made me think of your situation. (Well, that and the human condition in general. ;>D) I think the owner has stopped using it as a gravatar, but the pic is still available to view here:

I hope it gives you a grin.

When do you have TIME to just watch TV mdmh??

Thanks Debra :-)

Ms. A.R., it's almost verbatim what the black, female, newly pregnant doc said to Dr. McDreamy. It might not have been the major theme of the show but obviously the direction my mind is moving in. I want that gravatar on a shirt!!!!

And the person who broke your heart shouldn't be f*cking around with you, thinking he's helping. Tsk.

I must have missed that exchange, and saw another theme instead. These days, it's not at all surprising that I'd miss something... *rolls eyes for lack of any idea on how to remedy situation* ;>)

Here's another hug from me.

And I can't get enough of that show. I loved the scene where Bailey told McDreamy to back off. What I like most about GA is how everyone seems to be in and out of pain, yet there's no bad guy. It's just life.

Life IS the bad guy Angie!
