It's always something with me
On Friday, my brother and I took the bird here to fly. She misjudged a landing and was on the ground about seven feet in front of us when a freakin' hawk swooped down and killed her.
I miss her so much.
This is insane but that bird changed my life.
She was so tiny and so joyful.
She didn't make it even quite nine months but she lived every single one of those days to the absolute fullest. She demanded that things be brought up to her standards.
She just made me happy.

Aw, geez, I'm so sorry. I kinda have felt like she was my bird, too.
I haven't commented before, but your joy in the bird made me happy. I'm so incredibly sorry and shocked that something so awful happened. I can't think of anything else to say - I'm just so sorry.
omg, that is so sad! I'm so sorry to hear about that. Birds are such wonderful creatures, they have a lot of personality.

Oh, B, I'm so so so sorry. I just don't know what to say. She was such a sweetheart and I just can't believe this happened. Many, many hugs, okay?
She was everyone's bird Shelly :-) When we went to the park she truly thought that every single person was there just to see her.

I called J on Monday night and told her. Remember that getting the bird is what really started this particular blog because of all that stuff last spring? J was soooo sweet about it and offered me a baby from the next clutch.
OH my god, that had to be horrible for you! How heartbreaking! I'm so sorry.
